It’s 2020, and the workplace is still a deeply inequitable space for women. Women of color are starting businesses at a higher rate than any other group in the United States, and yet they receive a tiny fraction of overall funding. The gender wage gap persists.
Systemic issues require systemic solutions. That’s why The Riveter teamed up with Project Entrepreneur, a program by UBS, to help female founders! Our Founded By series has taken place every Thursday this May and June. Founders, business owners and VCs have come together to share learnings, challenges and strategies through group discussions and virtual gatherings.
For the series finale, we invite you to join us for “How To Change The World: Female Founders and Investors Building Solutions for Systems Change.” Courtney Leimkuhler, Founding Partner at Springbank Collective, and Nnena Ukuku, CEO of 5/3 Solution, are joining moderator Ann Shoket, author of The Big Life, to share insights and discuss their work championing equity in entrepreneurship and beyond. RVSP now and then tune in this Thursday, June 25 at 12 p.m. PT!
