The Riveter was thrilled to welcome U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Cory Booker to our Capitol Hill location for the first of many candidate conversations as we look ahead to 2020.
Booker regaled the crowd with heartfelt stories about his family’s history – one that reflects the greater arc of American history in extending its promise to everyone – his path to the senate, experiences on the campaign trail, and the many people who have helped pave the way.
Booker invited guests to join him in creating a movement to ignite the “moral imagination” of our country. “If America hasn’t broke your heart yet,” he said, in reference to the current political climate, “you don’t love her enough.”
