Isaac Kato is Managing Director of Techstars’ Seattle Accelerator. Techstars is a global startup ecosystem that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Isaac is a serial entrepreneur, technology leader, and investor. Before Techstars, Mr. Kato served as President of Mighty AI, which was acquired by Uber. Mighty AI was a leading provider of training data to machine learning developers in the computer vision and autonomous vehicle market. He has co-founded two companies – the first, Sven Technologies, was a 3D graphics software startup he co-founded, ran, and sold to a public CAD software company. From 2007-2017, he was co-founder and CFO of Verne Global, an Icelandic data center developer and operator, where he raised $200M of equity and debt capital and led several functions. Today, Verne is one of the largest third party data centers in the Nordic area. He has also spent a decade as a VC and growth equity investor, most recently with General Catalyst Partners. Mr. Kato is also an active angel investor. Isaac holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and an MS and BS from Stanford University. If you ask him about his family, international travel, Icelandic fly fishing, or skiing, it will likely be a long conversation.
Qxhna Titcomb is the program manager for Techstars Seattle. She has a background in entrepreneurship founding multiple small family businesses with her siblings in the apparel and sports industry as well as experience in international development working for nonprofits. In her spare time she’s an elite ultimate frisbee athlete and loves spending time with her dog!
